Trauma Nursing Core Course (2 days)
The Trauma Nursing Core Course was developed by the Emergency Nurses Association and serves as the basis for a standardized approach to initial trauma care.
TNCC content is presented through lectures and psychomotor skill stations. The course is intended for registered nurses. Others may audit the course but cannot participate in skill stations or the written exam. To successfully complete the TNCC, the learner must achieve a minimum of 80% on the written examination, actively participate in all skill stations, and demonstrate all critical criteria and at least 70% of all steps in the Trauma Nursing Process Psychomotor Evaluation Station. TNCC Providers are verified for a period of 4 years.
The Emergency Nurses Association awards 14.42 hours of continuing education. Participants who attend the entire course will obtain CE regardless of their performance during testing.
