Educating Clinicians and Creating Discussions on Opioid Underuse, Overuse and Misuse
With a rise in prescription opioid drug abuse, misuse and addiction, this event was created using FDA mandated content to further educate and guide clinicians on how to take control of this epidemic. We will do so by going over such things as proper storage and disposal, how to initiate therapy, modify dose and to identify potential adverse events as well as how to properly discontinue extended release/ long acting opioid analgesics. All physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, fellows and residents are welcome to attend.
